I am a math and science tutor. I love teaching math because the logic and application of the knowledge is satisfying. I attended George Washington University, where I received an A.S. in Lab Science. I also attended the University of Phoenix, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Management/Health Science.I have worked in laboratory science for a number of years, and am able to share my own knowledge in ways that are understandable. I enjoy seeing a student smile when they finally understand a concept and have the confidence to excel. In my laboratory career, I have been teaching others for a number of years, and I enjoy serving as a mentor for younger co-workers. As a math and science tutor, I am skilled at applying principles and relating the principles to the student. I enjoy working individually with a student and proceeding through the learning experience together. I understand that students have different learning styles, with some learning by hearing, some by seeing, and some by doing, so I adjust my own teaching style to meet the needs of my student.I teach middle school math, arithmetic, algebra, pre-algebra, geometry, biology, microbiology, and life sciences. In my free time, I enjoy cross stitch, sewing, gardening, cooking, traveling, football, and photography.
